Most people know better than to connect a computer to the Internet without first installing up-to-date antivirus software. But even the best software protection won’t catch every new virus, and performing a thorough system scan can require plenty of processor power, slowing some computers to a crawl.
New research from the University of Michigan suggests that computers could be better protected from viruses without sacrificing performance if antivirus software were moved from the PC to “the cloud”–a collection of servers that work seamlessly as one powerful machine. Using this approach, researchers found that they could detect 35 percent more recent viruses than a single antivirus program (88 percent compared with 73 percent). Moreover, using the distributed software, called Cloud AV, they caught 98 percent of all malicious software, compared with 83 percent, on average, for a single antivirus solution. Continue Reading »

I decided to keep updating this blog, even just posting some useless or boring thing!^_^
This blog has been created for more than one year, and after the first several months’ hard working, I became an lazy guy. Actually, I usually terminate the writing even when I have finished most part of one post. Really an weired feeling.
Still remember those days when I was busy with buying a web hosting and creating several blogs with wordpress. At that time, I was so diligent and eager to learn more about the hosting thing and the most famous blog tool-wordpress. Couldn’t stop trying the new theme and modifying the code to add some new feature. Those unforgettable days!
The hosting fee of this blog is about $9.8 per month, and I pay it though my paypal account. It’s very convenient to buy a host with paypal. Really thanks that great community–mylot who brought me the initial fund to pay the hosting fee, and until now it still generates regular revenue every month which is enough for the hosting fee. However, this blog now is also capable of feeding itself because there’s TLA ads in this blog. I should say, it’s really amazing to see the money earned online! Continue Reading »

I was informed by TLA that one of my blog is not accessible, so I checked that blog which I have not updated for several weeks because of busy schedule. Only to find that the domain name of that blog has expired.
The most bothering part is not the expiration of that domain name, and it’s that I couldn’t find the registar agent’s site! so it means I could not recharge that domain. Really desperate! I registered that domain one year ago in a registar agent which is a branch agent of a large sponsoring Registrar because one guy was promoting that agent those days. I just registered one domain name and made it as the domain name of my new blog. Sure, a big budget.

Because of busy schedule, I have not updated this blog for couple of weeks. When I logined my account, I was totally shocked by the huge comments. There are more than 200 comments, but most of them are spams. I don’t know how those spammers find my blog. Thanks for the spam-block plugin–Akismet. Without Akismet, I can’t imagine what would happend to my blog.
I don’t know why those spammers post so many spams everywhere. For traffic or for PR? Really have no idea.
This blog has reached PR2, which is out of my anticipation because there are only several links. I don’t know which link contribute much to my blog’s PR. Whatever, it’s great to see the rising of PR. but It also might be the main reason why there are so many spams. Really can’t imagine How many spams there are in Johnchow’s blog.
Okay, whatever, my blog has got a good start. I will continue to update it. I wanna post some new topics because I think it’s not enough to write only on the making money online thing. I wanna write some free blogs. Also, the plan to introduce some web host service needs to be push on the way.
Now, I only wanna see less spams on my blog

This post is regularly updated
Blog and Ping! Pinging lets dozens of services which specifically track and connect blogs to know you’ve updated , so they can come to check your blog. My blog in hostgator has become stable, so the promotion of my blog has been put in the schedule. WordPress automatically notifies popular Update Services that we’ve updated our blog by sending a XML-RPC (http://www.xmlrpc.com/) ping each time we create or update a post. I am using this feature. But there are also some one click mutltiple blog services pinging tools which we can use them to help us promote our blogs.
So How to Promote our blogs with these Ping Services
When I tried to look for pinging services that ping or notify a number of blogging services that keep track of weblogs and publish them, I found a list of easy blog pinging services. With those one click pinging service, Those services will know that your blog has been updated , and hence they crawl and index your site, publishing your blog contents, which helps to increase your blog’s popularity and traffic.
